The weather in Siracusa: wonderful as it is!
Do you Know how much rain falls in Siracusa during summer? And How much in the other italian provinces?
From a study made by gathering data available on
results seems to be unambiguous at all! Considering a mean for the months of June, July and August, cumulatively, 31 liters in every sqare meter do fall in Siracusa, 80 in Rome, 223 in Milan! Siracusa scores as the best even among Sicilian cities like Palermo (35 l/m2) and Catania (38 l/m2). Another interesting result is that considering the extreme southern detection station of Sicily, that is always inside the province of Siracusa, the mean of rainfall cumulatevely considered over the three months is 15 l/m2! Please allow us then to say that Sun shines just about always, during summer, in Siracusa!
As far as regard the temperatures, in the following graph, we compare the maximum, minimum and medium temperature in some Italian cities (from meteofrance.com). Look again how good Siracusa (SR) scores!
